A wedding in a former stable

A ceremony in the meadow, a reception inside walls with a history, dancing under an open sky and beds for everyone on site. For that one day the whole venue belongs to you.

How the day unfolds

From the ceremony on the grass to the last dance

The morning is yours alone — for getting ready, decorating and photographs. The ceremony takes place in the garden, the reception in the lit hall of the former stable, and the party moves outdoors or into the marquee. At dawn nobody hunts for a taxi: the bedrooms are a few dozen steps away.

  • Up to 60 guests in the stable hall
  • Up to 120 guests once a marquee goes up in the garden
  • A large bedroom for the couple and five rooms for guests
  • Dancing under an open sky or under the marquee — whatever the weather allows

The discounted prices include the 40% early bird reduction and cover the rental of the entire venue together with everything listed above. The marquee is charged separately, as are catering and music, which the couple arranges themselves. We are glad to recommend suppliers we trust and to quote for a marquee sized to your guest list.

A marquee in the garden

If the guest list does not fit inside the hall, a marquee goes up on the grass in front of the building. The wedding then grows to 120 people and the hall becomes the bar and dance floor. The marquee is not included in the rental price — we quote for it separately, based on your guest list and the type of structure. The images below are visualisations showing the scale and placement of the marquee.

Couples ask

Before you get in touch

Do we have to use your caterer?

No. You choose the company you want to work with, and we provide a room with catering facilities. If you do not have a supplier yet, we will point you to teams we trust in the area.

How many people can sleep on site?

The house has six bedrooms and four bathrooms — fourteen beds in total, including a large bedroom for the couple. Other guests usually stay nearby; we are happy to suggest where.

How late can the party go on?

Hours and sound levels are agreed individually when the contract is signed — they depend on the date and on whether the party is indoors or outside. Write to us and we will give you the specific terms for your date.

Can we come and see the venue?

Yes, and we strongly encourage it — photographs convey neither the scale of the meadow nor the smell of old timber. Arrange a visit by phone or through the form and we will find a time that suits you.

What about decorations?

You have access to our own store of authentic decorations — lanterns, fabrics and wooden pieces. Use them as they are, add your own, or hand the whole subject over to a decorator.

Hold your date before someone else does

Tell us when you are planning the wedding and how many guests you are inviting. We will reply with availability and a suggested time to visit.
